  • Practical Lapland Travel Information
  • Enontekiö is one of the last stops before Kilpisjarvi (besides Muonio) where you can use a cash machine and shop at bigger food stores. In fact, the only cash dispenser in Enontekiö is in Hetta at Osuuspankki in the town center.
  • The Fell Lapland Nature Centre is a good place to visit before hiking in the area so you can get up-to-date information about huts and trail conditions.
  • If someone suggests to visit the small reindeer herding village of Näkkälä as a local attraction, be informed that there is nothing there to visit or to do from a travelers perspective. It is simply a small community of houses far off of the main highway, nothing more. Don't waste your time.
